Our case is different from those of the other groups (such as the CCFR), as our goal is to advance an argument on behalf of the average hunter/sport shooter (as opposed to a firearms business and/or organizations). While we did this voluntarily, we simply do not have the same financial resources as some of the other litigants. The amount of legal work that is going into this case is enormous and yet we took this on knowing that we do not have deep pockets. We are relying on support from many in our sport shooting and hunting communities, as well as anyone that values personal freedom, to supplement our personal expenses in order to be able to move this case forward.
We have the public support of the CSSA (Canadian Shooting Sports Association) and the OLA (Ontario Land Owner’s Association). Both organizations are collecting donations on our behalf.
The OLA GoFundMe page was set up by the OLA and we have accounting control over this fund. As of January 29, 2021, $22,760 has been donated to this fund.
